SUMMER CAMP intensives AT ONE RIVER School

Grade 9 - 12 intensive camps are two-week courses geared for the most serious and dedicated pre-college students. In these intensives students will create a series of new works that span from drawing, painting, sculpture as well as digital mediums showcasing a core understanding of a variety of materials as well as the courage to experiment and break the traditional boundaries of each medium and subject matter. Our Drawing Intensive is a two-week course geared for the most serious and dedicated pre-college students. Students will cover overarching drawing concepts that relate to understanding and developing skills around essential foundations. The ‘big ideas’ include being able to use formal techniques such as perspective, value, and observational drawing skills.

JULY 29 - AUGUST 9

Our Painting Intensive is a two-week course geared for the most serious and dedicated pre-college students. Students will cover overarching painting concepts that relate to understanding and developing skills around essential foundations. The ‘big ideas’ include being able to use formal techniques such as color, value, texture, and more through the oil painting medium.

This intensive course covers the basics of keyframe animation, along with tweens and bone tools using Adobe Animate. Students interested in bringing their drawings to life should take this course to discover how to prepare digital characters, background and storylines.

Get ready to create your own original virtual game! This camp covers the basics of animation and game design. Students interested in bringing their ideas to life should take this course to discover how to prepare digital characters, backgrounds and exciting game objectives.

Digital Illustration 2

Students will deepen their understanding of how Photoshop is leveraged as an industry standard graphic design tool. Student can expect to gain an appreciation for graphic designers and experience the full artistic process behind photo manipulation, illustrations,  graphics, and much more.

Our Portfolio Development program is an intensive 2-week course for high school students who are serious about art, and are looking to concentrate in this field at the college and university level. This course will guide students in creating a comprehensive portfolio that showcases their skills and creativity to secure their acceptance to college art programs.
